Speakers
Clifton crime writer AA Abbott writes stories sizzling with suspense, twists and murder. Most of them involve vodka too.
For many years, the only stories J E Hagan told were to avoid cross country running at school, in fact school, generally. A family and three businesses later, she returned to her studies, and an Open University degree—during which she got the bug for fiction writing. She has had flash fiction published on t’internet, as Peter Kay calls it, and taken part in flash fiction gigs.
Suzanna Stanbury writes children’s books – and occasionally, novels and short stories for all ages of adults. She is the administrator and an active member of The Bristol Fiction Writers’ Group.
Patricia Gregory was born in the wilds of Lincolnshire, and managed to escape to study maths at Reading University in the 1960s and Local History at Nottingham University in the 1990s. After a career in the computer industry, and later running her own small educational enterprise, she retired early and moved to Bristol to be close to family. Having written for a historical magazine in Lincolnshire, Gregory decided to try creative writing and has since been writing short stories. She is now working on her first novel.
